Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Stains by Ed Ruscha for USD 8,820.00 (€ 8,085.81). This price was achieved in the auction Graphic Century at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Stains von Ed Ruscha für USD 8.820,00 (€ 8.085,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Graphic Century bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Ruscha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurting the Word Radio #2 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.485.000,00 (€ 47.631.364,01).
