Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples, which included the work Untitled, from the Columbus: In Search of a New Tomorrow portfolio by Eduardo Chillida. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,383.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Chillida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rumor de Limites No. Vi in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,024,000.00 (€ 2,928,694.26).
