Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jeune fille à la branche by Fernand Léger was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in May this year. The price achieved of USD 228,600.00 (€ 214,567.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernand Léger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contraste de formes in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 70,062,500.00 (€ 58,885,947.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jeune fille à la branche von Fernand Léger wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 228.600,00 (€ 214.567,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernand Léger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contraste de formes im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.062.500,00 (€ 58.885.947,22).
