Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Frontispiece, From Elles by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in October last year. The price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 4,058.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Blanchisseuse in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 22,416,000.00 (€ 19,012,722.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Frontispiece, From Elles von Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 4.058,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Blanchisseuse im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.416.000,00 (€ 19.012.722,65).
