Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Visage De Profil Reposant Sur Un Bras, Paravent Louis Xiv (Duthuit 447) by Henri Matisse was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Sothebys in London in March 2014. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,321.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Matisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque couchée aux magnolias in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 80,750,000.00 (€ 69,194,515.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Visage De Profil Reposant Sur Un Bras, Paravent Louis Xiv (Duthuit 447) von Henri Matisse wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.321,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Matisse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odalisque couchée aux magnolias im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.750.000,00 (€ 69.194.515,85).
