Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in New York held the auction Graphic Century, which included the work Marilyn by James Rosenquist. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,930.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Rosenquist achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Director in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,135,000.00 (€ 2,811,911.38).
