the complete set of 6 etchings, aquatint and soft-ground in colours, 1970, on T.H. Saunders paper, each signed and titled in pencil, all artist's proofs aside from the edition of 50, with extensive colouring instructions by the artist, published by Malta Industries Ltd, printed by Studio Prints, the full sheets, in proof condition, some with several printer's handling marks in the margins, one plate with a 70mm. tear at the right upper corner, minor surface defects, otherwise in generally in good condition

The work Second Malta Suite (Turner 236-241) by Julian Trevelyan was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in London in September 2010. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,783.03), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Julian Trevelyan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Durham Wharf in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 46,250.00 (€ 54,570.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Second Malta Suite (Turner 236-241) von Julian Trevelyan wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.783,03) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Trevelyan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Durham Wharf im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 46.250,00 (€ 54.570,45).
