Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Free South Africa): one plate (S. p. 142, L. pp. 42-43) by Keith Haring was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in June this year. The price achieved of USD 25,400.00 (€ 23,260.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Haring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Free South Africa): one plate (S. p. 142, L. pp. 42-43) von Keith Haring wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.400,00 (€ 23.260,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
