Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Model for the Torah Ark Doors of Temple Beth El by Louise Nevelson was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 30,480.00 (€ 28,608.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Nevelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dawn's Landscape XLIII in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Model for the Torah Ark Doors of Temple Beth El von Louise Nevelson kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 30.480,00 (€ 28.608,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Nevelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dawn's Landscape XLIII im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.159.200,00 (€ 1.122.929,38).
