This artwork by Maurits Cornelis Escher achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April last year. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Other World (Bool 348) sold for USD 60,480.00 (€ 57,397.74) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurits Cornelis Escher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reptiles (Bool 327) in April last year with an auction result of USD 756,000.00 (€ 717,471.77).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurits Cornelis Escher erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Other World (Bool 348) für USD 60.480,00 (€ 57.397,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurits Cornelis Escher erzielen.
