Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,544.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).

Die Arbeit Paysan Au Violon (Peasant With A Violin) von Marc Chagall kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.544,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
