Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Edition, which included the work La Cucitrice, From The Drape Suite by Michelangelo Pistoletto. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,933.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michelangelo Pistoletto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Uomo che guarda un negativo (Man Looking at a Negative) in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 3,721,250.00 (€ 4,242,953.40).
