Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Child Cutting by Milton Avery was sold in the Prints & Multiples | Live Online auction at Bonhams in January this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,211.25 (€ 1,115.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Avery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Letter in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,069,500.00 (€ 5,656,043.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Child Cutting von Milton Avery wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples | Live Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.211,25 (€ 1.115,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Milton Avery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Letter im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.069.500,00 (€ 5.656.043,24).
