Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gaiety Dance Team; Top Hat and Tails 2 by Norman Rockwell was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2024. The price achieved of USD 1,088.00 (€ 950.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Rockwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saying Grace in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 46,085,000.00 (€ 33,445,823.35).

Die Arbeit Gaiety Dance Team; Top Hat and Tails 2 von Norman Rockwell wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.088,00 (€ 950,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden.
