Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Per Kirkeby could be acquired at Christies in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Diastole Systole changed hands for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 87,374.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Per Kirkeby have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 431,250.00 (€ 484,788.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Per Kirkeby konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Diastole Systole für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 87.374,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Per Kirkeby auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 431.250,00 (€ 484.788,96).
