In March 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Perth Amboy (2 Hands Man) by Rachel Harrison. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,040 (€ 3,886), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rachel Harrison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Nineties in March this year with an auction result of USD 88,200 (€ 79,510).

Im März 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Perth Amboy (2 Hands Man) von Rachel Harrison zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.040 (€ 3.886) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rachel Harrison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Nineties im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200 (€ 79.510).
