Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Spring Gold by Robert Indiana was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 53,340.00 (€ 50,065.70). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Indiana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,495,000.00 (€ 3,086,637.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Spring Gold von Robert Indiana wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 53.340,00 (€ 50.065,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Indiana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.495.000,00 (€ 3.086.637,82).
