Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Bad Idea Bad Boy by Sean Landers for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,573.57). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Landers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Genius in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 360,000.00 (€ 267,598.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bad Idea Bad Boy von Sean Landers für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.573,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sean Landers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Genius im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 360.000,00 (€ 267.598,31).
