The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,167.50 (€ 1,996.22), 45% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Scully achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Song in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,046,500.00 (€ 1,907,091.60).

Die Arbeit Untitled (print # 7), from Ten Towers von Sean Scully wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples | Live Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.167,50 (€ 1.996,22) und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sean Scully erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Song im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.046.500,00 (€ 1.907.091,60).
