It achieved a price of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,533.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sidney Nolan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gully (Ned Kelly) in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 264,500.00 (€ 359,410.63).

Die Arbeit The death of Constable Scanlon from Ned Kelly Series von Sidney Nolan wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Old Master, Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.533,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sidney Nolan erzielen.
