Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Township, from Dust by Sidney Nolan. The price achieved of GBP 832.00 (€ 832.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sidney Nolan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gully (Ned Kelly) in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 264,500.00 (€ 359,410.63).
