Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Live In The Port Coquitlam by Steven Shearer was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 66,440.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steven Shearer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hash, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 106,250.00 (€ 148,617.21).

Die Arbeit Live In The Port Coquitlam von Steven Shearer wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 66.440,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Steven Shearer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hash beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 106.250,00 (€ 148.617,21) versteigert wurde.
