Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2014 Christies in London held the auction Modern Masters & Polígrafa: Celebrating 50 Years of Printmaking, which included the work An Homage to IKB 1957 C by Takashi Murakami. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,137.79). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern Masters & Polígrafa: Celebrating 50 Years of Printmaking durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Homage to IKB 1957 C von Takashi Murakami zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.137,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
