Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mr. Dob Figure (gold version) by Takashi Murakami was sold in the Contemporary Edition auction at Christies in New York in September 2017. The price achieved of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,539.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mr. Dob Figure (gold version) von Takashi Murakami wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.539,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
