Auction result well in line with expectations
The work MMK by Tim Eitel was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in July 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 97,109.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tim Eitel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Schwarzer Sand, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 284,800.00 (€ 214,765.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit MMK von Tim Eitel wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 97.109,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tim Eitel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Schwarzer Sand beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 284.800,00 (€ 214.765,10) versteigert wurde.
