Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tracey Emin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in January last year. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work About To Fly sold for GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,832.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tracey Emin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Bed in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,546,500.00 (€ 3,211,937.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tracey Emin erzielte im Januar letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit About To Fly für GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.832,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tracey Emin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Bed im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.546.500,00 (€ 3.211.937,15).
