Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Victor Vasarely achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June this year. In the Limited Editions and Artists' Jewellery auction, the work Hexagone, 1988 sold for EUR 576.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Vasarely erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Limited Editions and Artists' Jewellery wurde die Arbeit Hexagone, 1988 für EUR 576,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
