Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Wilhelm Sasnal was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 47,880.00 (€ 44,618.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Sasnal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Airplanes in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 396,000.00 (€ 294,358.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wilhelm Sasnal kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 44.618,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Sasnal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Airplanes im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 396.000,00 (€ 294.358,14).
