This work without title by Agnes Martin was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November last year. It achieved a price of USD 693,000.00 (€ 671,316.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agnes Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #44 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 17,728,800.00 (€ 15,707,273.85).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Agnes Martin wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 693.000,00 (€ 671.316,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agnes Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #44 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.728.800,00 (€ 15.707.273,85).
