Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Mid Season Prints, which included the work St. Jerome In Penitence (B. 61; M., Holl. 57) by Albrecht Dürer. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,625.00 (€ 3,955.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albrecht Dürer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ Being Nailed To The Cross in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 874,000.00 (€ 806,868.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Mid Season Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit St. Jerome In Penitence (B. 61; M., Holl. 57) von Albrecht Dürer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.625,00 (€ 3.955,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albrecht Dürer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ Being Nailed To The Cross im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 874.000,00 (€ 806.868,54).
