Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Standing Room Only, from Sheet Music by Allen Jones. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 704.00 (€ 704.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hatstand, Table And Chair (I) Hatstand (Ii) Table (Iii) Chair in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,169,250.00 (€ 2,519,706.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing Room Only, from Sheet Music von Allen Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 704,00 (€ 704,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allen Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hatstand, Table And Chair (I) Hatstand (Ii) Table (Iii) Chair im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.169.250,00 (€ 2.519.706,86).
