Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two prints by the artist by Francesco Clemente was sold in the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction at Christies in New York in March this year. The price achieved of USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,158.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Clemente achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fourteen Stations, No. XI in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,733,296.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two prints by the artist von Francesco Clemente wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.260,00 (€ 1.158,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Clemente erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fourteen Stations, No. XI im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.733.296,06).
