Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Haim Steinbach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work no wires, no power cord #2 sold for GBP 40,320.00 (€ 46,972.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Haim Steinbach - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Security And Serenity #1, which sold at auction in September 2015 for GBP 93,700.00 (€ 126,892.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Haim Steinbach erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit no wires, no power cord #2 für GBP 40.320,00 (€ 46.972,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Haim Steinbach mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Security And Serenity #1 beobachtet, die im September 2015 für GBP 93.700,00 (€ 126.892,06) versteigert wurde.
