Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Odalisque Au Magnolia by Henri Matisse was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in April 2018. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,705.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Matisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque couchée aux magnolias in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 80,750,000.00 (€ 69,194,515.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Odalisque Au Magnolia von Henri Matisse wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.705,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Matisse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odalisque couchée aux magnolias im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.750.000,00 (€ 69.194.515,85).
