Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Jean-Paul Riopelle was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,424.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Paul Riopelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 4,882,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean-Paul Riopelle wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.424,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Paul Riopelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.882.500,00.
