Hand-made, each numbered 3/50 (there were also 10 artist's proofs for each), published by Petersburg Press, London, with full margins, each with pale time staining, a few pale foxmarks in places at the sheet edges, otherwise in very good condition

The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,825.85), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Dine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fence (Sydney Close) in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 391,000.00 (€ 436,481.36).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Four Kinds of Pubic Hair (W. C. 39-42) von Jim Dine kam im Juli 2010 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.825,85) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jim Dine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fence (Sydney Close) im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 391.000,00 (€ 436.481,36).
