The work Cheval Ivre by Joan Miró was sold in the Graphic Century auction at Christies in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 8,190.00 (€ 7,508.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).

Die Arbeit Cheval Ivre von Joan Miró wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Graphic Century bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 7.508,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250,00 (€ 29.174.436,97).
