Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jeremy by Jonas Wood was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,440,000.00 (€ 1,394,943.33) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonas Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Tables With Floral Pattern, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 6,510,000.00 (€ 5,338,691.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jeremy von Jonas Wood wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.440.000,00 (€ 1.394.943,33) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jonas Wood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Tables With Floral Pattern beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 6.510.000,00 (€ 5.338.691,16) versteigert wurde.
