Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Variant Vi, From Ten Variants by Josef Albers was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,268.00 (€ 2,079.21). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Albers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homage to the Square in May this year with an auction result of USD 2,954,000.00 (€ 2,772,667.54).
