Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Double French Money, From Four On Plexiglas by Larry Rivers was sold in the Graphic Century auction at Christies in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 2,394.00 (€ 2,194.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Rivers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Africa I in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,077,000.00 (€ 1,703,296.70).

Die Arbeit Double French Money, From Four On Plexiglas von Larry Rivers wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Graphic Century bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.394,00 (€ 2.194,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Rivers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Africa I im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.077.000,00 (€ 1.703.296,70).
