It achieved a price of USD 126,000.00 (€ 122,057.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Admittedly, works by Manolo Valdés have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Infanta Margarita in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).

Die Arbeit Perfil sobre fondo blanco von Manolo Valdés kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 122.057,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manolo Valdés auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Infanta Margarita im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 457.250,00 (€ 538.602,24).
