Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Serra could be acquired at Christies in New York in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction, the work MOCA Print, from the MoCa Portfolio changed hands for USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,215.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Serra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L.A. Cone in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 4,267,750.00 (€ 3,285,917.77).
