Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Fire By Days Blues X by Rita Ackermann was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,970.30). Admittedly, works by Rita Ackermann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Water Lilies in Chalk V in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 115,500.00 (€ 99,380.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Fire By Days Blues X von Rita Ackermann im Februar 2019 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.970,30) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rita Ackermann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Water Lilies in Chalk V im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 115.500,00 (€ 99.380,49).
