This artwork by Victor Man achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May last year. In the Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work without title sold for USD 75,600.00 (€ 70,450.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Man achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weltinnenraum (World Within) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 1,734,000.00 (€ 2,018,077.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Man erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 75.600,00 (€ 70.450,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Man erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weltinnenraum (World Within) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.734.000,00 (€ 2.018.077,47).
