This work without title by Yayoi Kusama was worth USD 189,000 (€ 165,181) to a buyer in November this year. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 60,000 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Nets) in May this year with an auction result of USD 10,496,000 (€ 9,781,008).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Yayoi Kusama war einem Käufer im November diesen Jahres USD 189.000 (€ 165.181) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Nets) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.496.000 (€ 9.781.008).
