Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jimmy Carter by Andy Warhol was sold in the First Open/NYC auction at Christies in New York in September 2014. The price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 41,574.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
