Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andy Warhol could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Muratti Ambassador Cigarettes changed hands for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,282.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andy Warhol konnte im April 2018 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Muratti Ambassador Cigarettes für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.282,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
