Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Anish Kapoor. The price achieved of USD 441,000.00 (€ 427,201.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anish Kapoor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,945,250.00 (€ 2,471,462.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Anish Kapoor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 441.000,00 (€ 427.201,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anish Kapoor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.945.250,00 (€ 2.471.462,02).
