Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calle del puerto by Armando Reverón was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 250,000.00 (€ 214,224.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Armando Reverón - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Desnudo Detrás De La Mantilla, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 872,500.00 (€ 705,677.77).

Die Arbeit Calle del puerto von Armando Reverón kam im Mai 2018 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 214.224,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Armando Reverón mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Desnudo Detrás De La Mantilla beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 872.500,00 (€ 705.677,77) versteigert wurde.
