Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Brendan Cass could be acquired at Phillips in New York in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Part II auction, the work Reindeer changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,608.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brendan Cass - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gold Castle, which sold at auction in February 2010 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,972.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Brendan Cass konnte im Mai 2011 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II wechselte die Arbeit Reindeer für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.608,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brendan Cass mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gold Castle beobachtet, die im Februar 2010 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.972,46) versteigert wurde.
